Everything you need to install, set up and get the most out of EmailOps — the email client that runs AI on your own machine.
EmailOps is an email client with local AI built in. It syncs your Gmail, Outlook and IMAP accounts into a database on your own machine, and runs the AI features — chat, reply drafts, classification, semantic search, translation — against that local copy. By default nothing is sent to a server: the model runs inside the app.
EmailOps is free and open source (Apache-2.0). The source lives at github.com/emailops/emailops.
Installation
Download and install EmailOps on macOS, Windows or Linux.
Getting started
The first-run wizard: choose an AI backend, download a model and connect your first mailbox.
Standard Features
The email client itself: accounts, unified inbox, calendar, attachments, search and junk filtering.
AI features
Chat with your mailbox, generate replies, classify mail, extract tasks — all running on a model you control.
Privacy & security
Where your mail is stored, what leaves your machine, and the controls that protect you from the mail itself.
Command line (emailops-cli)
Script and automate your inbox from the terminal, with stable JSON output for scripts and agents.
Troubleshooting
Fixes for the problems people hit most: AI unavailable, slow chat, keyword-only search, sync errors.
